Welcome to Trinity Episcopal Church!  We look forward to incorporating you and your children into our Christian community of faith, worship and service.  For more information about any of Trinity's Christian Education offerings, please contact Danica D'Onofrio  at 812-336-4466 or ddonofrio@trinitybloomington.org.

The mission of Trinity's Christian Education program is to fulfill the baptismal covenant we make with the children of our church to do all in our power to support them in their life in Christ.

Sunday School

Sunday School is an integral part to our children's faith formation.  It lays a strong foundation to a person's education as a Christian, an education which is a life-long process.

The current structure of children's Sunday School includes three classes: Primary (Pre-K, K), Elementary (Grades 1-3) and Intermediate (Grades 4-6.) Classes meet on Sunday mornings after the 10.00 service and run concurrent with the Adult Forum.  As we aim to nurture the spiritual lives of the children, we also desire to provide a safe, clean, and happy Christian environment for the youngest members of our church family.   All teachers and leaders of children and youth have attended he Episcopal Church's training session called "Safeguarding God's Children."

This year the Sunday School program will be using the curriculum Seasons of the Spirit.  Seasons of the Spirit is an ecumenical, international lectionary-based curriculum that strives to build strong faith communities by integrating the ministries of Christian education, worship, and service. This curriculum invites the entire church community to imaginatively engage scripture through activities that pay particular attention to multiple learning styles, discussion of current events that are connected to each session theme, and the arts, which are at the heart of each Bible study. In addition, Seasons of the Spirit uses art from many cultures for its posters and focuses on providing inclusive images, language and stories to promote the love of God to all.
