Our diversity is brought to union in our sense of holy mission. We strive to understand one another, to forgive one another, to accept one another in the face of strongly founded differences about liturgy, sacraments, Holy Orders and the color of the carpet.
We welcome squalling babies and coughing elders. We are seekers, pilgrims, really, struggling on the way to the Cross, calling across to others on different paths, all related by our baptismal vows to love God and one another. We include all ages, cradle Episcopalians and the recently confirmed, devoted and "don't get there very often." We add programs, drop one occasionally, have a core who do everything (widely applauded and esteemed by others). We look forward to the coming years with joyful anticipation, arms open, and curiosity, humor and love in our welcome. We loved our past (most of it), and we are receptive to the future (almost all of it). We will be defining one another - clergy and laity - prayerfully in the light of God's love as the years unfold.
