Outreach Commission

In service to the greater community

The Trinity Outreach Commission organizes Trinity’s resources of money, time, and talent in service to the greater community. Our mission is to carry out our baptismal vow to seek and serve Christ in all persons in love and generosity.

Outreach meetings are usually held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Trinity Library. Anyone interested in Outreach is welcome to join us; newcomers may wish to call the church office at (812) 336-4466 to confirm meeting times, especially in November and December.

Tithing Trinity’s Budget

In 2005, Trinity’s Vestry resolved to devote a percentage of the church’s annual budgeted pledges and plate collections to the work of the Outreach Commission. In 2006, this budgeted amount was 5% of the church’s annual budget, and the proportion will increase by 1% each year until 2011, when Trinity will dedicate a tithe (10%) of its budget for this purpose.
