About Diane

From Father Charlie

By now, you’re probably aware of the death of our friend and dear sister, Diane Singleton. Early Monday morning, Diane was reported missing by her husband, Earl. After a police-organized search for her on Monday, her body was discovered close to sundown. This news is deeply sad and deeply shocking.

Diane was a continuous thread in the fabric of the Trinity community. She was involved in many committees and groups. She was creative, intelligent, and, above all, compassionate. She saw the good in every person and worked valiantly to live her life with gentleness and love.

Diane was also very open about her struggle with mental illness. In the days prior to her death, she was having a particularly difficult time. While we do not know the exact cause of her death, we do know that she is now in peace.

Plans have been made for Diane's funeral to be on Saturday, January 28 at 2pm here at Trinity Church. A reception will follow in the Great Hall.

In the meantime, pray for Earl, Andrew, and Alexandra. And pray for all who suffer in body, mind, and spirit.

May Light perpetual shine upon Diane. May her rest, this day, be in Paradise.

Trinity is a real community that loves and respects all people.

Trinity is a community in which everyone is encouraged to explore her/his relationship with God. We value exploring our faith through worship and service. Using Jesus as our model, we are dedicated to radical hospitality, responding to the needs of our neighbors, and respecting the dignity of every human being. Our worship services embrace the mystery, beauty, and creativity of a God who has something to say to each of us. As a part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, we value the traditions of our past. We also realize that we must respond to how God is calling us to be and act in the world today.

Whoever you are, wherever you are on your spiritual path, you are welcome at Trinity Episcopal Church.
